Taking a Break

Putting on the brakes and taking a brief break from social media. Limiting triggers to ramping hypomania by trying to unplug until next week. I will catch up to comments next week. 

Have a full social calendar over the next few days. Tonight out with a couple of friends to the Improv in Irvine. Tomorrow and Friday volunteering at NAMI Orange County. Saturday is my husband’s company picnic.

WAY more than I usually can take on. I may have to bail on something. If so, that’s okay.  
My readers and my therapist helped me make this decision. Thanks!

    Enjoy the break. I understand how difficult it is to take a break from social media. It’s good to take time away and deal with other issues or just taking a break. Can’t wait to read your blogs when you return!

    I’ve put myself ‘out there’ (like making a wonderful illustrative video showing rather than telling how to live with Bipolar) to the ‘You’ve got this’ campaign. Storyboarding, soundtracking, minimally, cutaways, edits this project was the center of my life until I submitted it and heard absolutely nothing. Finally after reaching out four times, I am told little things like my title naming the sponsor…the title is not even in the video. An they could cut that out, after all once you submit something it belongs to them. So from now on, my videos are for me, not for a ‘warm and cuddly let’s all learn from each other’ campaign. I believed them. And yes, I am a frustrated filmmaker. I see things in images. I’m backing off social media too. I’ve done my part and I know that you have too, K.

    Good for you!!! You’ll feel better for the break and it’s not like you don’t have a TON of other stuff to keep you busy! Take care

    YAY! So, so proud of you, Kitt! I know you’ll be glad you did this…it’s NOT easy, but as each day passes you’ll feel healthier for taking this break.
