Kitt’s New Media Kit

Getting ready for BlogHer16 I set up a new Media kit page. Noticed that my statistics have fallen this year. Yes, 2016 is not over. Still, it is more than half over, and I’m at lower than half the views I had last year. I know I’ve been busy with caregiving. I’m blogging more about it and less about bipolar disorder. I’m not able to read and comment on as many blogs as I did before. Oh, well. Honestly, I’m not quite sure why I’m even setting up a media kit, for I’m not strongly motivated to monetize my blog.

I have yet to set up a media kit. It’s interesting that when you start blogging away from your known brand/topic your views lessen. In any case you should write what makes you happy.

Yes. I had a very strong brand as a bipolar blogger, but my bipolar disorder has taken a back seat to other matters. I still consider myself a mental health advocate, but having bipolar disorder doesn’t define or limit me as much anymore.

The “Iron Lady” of social media should be happy this statistic has decreased. Even though you are dealing with the caregiving function burden with your parents, the major objective is to increase your “Wellness”. Believe this stat is on the upswing for you presently, Kitt.

    Namaste.

Thank you, and, yes, that particular statistic is definitely on the upswing.

I think it’s exciting. I think that given the challenges you have this year your stats are great…and behind the stats are people like me who find your courage and intellect a source of inspiration.

Considering all you’ve going through, I’d say your stats are outstanding.

It makes perfect sense why your statistics fell this year in light of the enormous challenges that you were (and are) faced with regarding caregiving. Go easer on yourself….many others would’ve have dropped the blogging ball, but you didn’t! That’s extraordinary.

Although you aren’t strongly motivated to monetize the blog, that feeling could change within minutes, of course. Whether or not you decide to do it, I know the conference will be inspiring, motivating and it will give you a psychological break.

I continue to marvel at the bloggers I encounter online. My blogging friend Jean Lee of Jean Lee’s World wrote, “I’ve only been in the blogosphere for a little over a year, but the friendships and partnerships formed are stronger than many I have in the physical world around me.” I could have written the same thing. All the more reason for you to meet some other extraordinary women like yourself and network and have fun! :))) Can’t wait to hear how it goes….I hope to attend in 2017. Especially if they have it over in Hawaii – I suggested that to one of their staff! 😉
