A death is not the extinguishing of a light, but the putting out of the lamp because the dawn has come.

My brother-in-law passed yesterday. May he rest in peace.

    Thank you, Mindy. I offer you my condolences on your losses of your brother and your dad. Sounds like your dad lived a long life. My paternal grandfather also lived into his 90s. In fact, he graduated from high school (night school) at 84. Never too late.

    Yes. I believe it really helped my husband to be able to basically say goodbye to his brother (not so much in words as in action).

    It’s always hard when you lose someone. My brother died 12/4/2012 from lung cancer at 57 and my dad died a couple months later on 2/11/2013 at the age of 92. So it’s hard. It gets easier. Time heals. It really does! My thoughts are with you and your family. May your brother-in-law rest in peace. (He’s really not gone. I do believe they are somewhere. This isn’t it!)
